Experience
Built Gybe from concept to a satellite water-pollution product trusted by the World Bank, NYC's water utility and global NGOs. Led a remote team of engineers, scientists and developers across 8 time zones, helped raise 3.7M from customers and investors, and shipped GybeMaps end to end — science, hardware, software, go-to-market. Wound down operations in late 2025.

Co-founded a blockchain platform for ecological regeneration. Co-wrote the original white paper, shaped the business model and token dynamics, designed the UI, and pitched us into the Techstars Sustainability accelerator with The Nature Conservancy. Today, Regen Network supports 420,000+ hectares of verified land under regenerative management.

Led a team of designers and developers building the digital services for all 25 airports in Finland — apps, websites, digital maps and parking. Since launch, the website has won multiple awards including Webby, Lovie, and an IDA for its user experience. In the year after launch we achieved +125% in revenue, +138% in E-commerce sales, +400% new registered users and +50% page views.

High-concept work with a small design studio in Helsinki: Concept through UI design of Solved, a digital Cleantech platform that connects experts with problems that need solving (energy, materials, circular economy, and more). Today, over 12 years after the platform launch, Solved is successfully operating a global network of over 20,000 sustainability experts. I also developed a new hotel chain (concept, branding, interior), and organisational transformation using user-centred design tools.

Off hours: adventure + photography
I'm a designer by training (Antwerp, Aalto, Stanford), then moved into leading product teams, and founding startups. I've led fully remote, cross-cultural teams, raised capital from investors and customers, and stayed hands-on across science, design and strategy. I speak English (C2), Dutch (C2) and Spanish (B2). Based between Portugal and England (timezone GMT + 1).
