Gybe | Water quality monitoring

Built Gybe from a concept into a satellite-based water-pollution monitoring company trusted by the World Bank, NYC's water utility, and NGOs operating globally. We grew from 2 pilot sites to 28 sites monitored across 4 continents. I led development of 7 new water quality metrics, expanding what the product could detect. I led a fully remote team of engineers, scientists, and developers across 8 time zones, growing it to 10 people while building out the culture and hiring process from scratch. I turned customer onboarding from a manual, ad hoc process into a streamlined system with detailed user guides, and helped raise $3.7M from customers and investors. I owned the product end to end — science, hardware, and software.

Regen Network | Regeneration platform

Co-founded a blockchain platform for regeneration, where verified ecological regeneration on site led to automated payments to farmers or conservation organisations. Co-wrote the original conceptual white paper, shaped the business model and token dynamics, designed the UI, and pitched us into the Techstars Sustainability accelerator with The Nature Conservancy. Today, Regen Network supports 420,000+ hectares of verified land under regenerative management.

Senior Service Designer2017

Futurice | Digital consultancy

Led a team of designers and developers building the digital services for all 25 airports in Finland — apps, websites, digital maps and parking. Since launch, the website has won multiple awards including Webby, Lovie, and an IDA for its user experience. In the year after launch we achieved +125% in revenue, +138% in E-commerce sales, +400% new registered users and +50% page views.

Strategic Service Designer2012 — 2013

High-concept work with a small design studio in Helsinki: Concept through UI design of Solved, a digital Cleantech platform that connects experts with problems that need solving (energy, materials, circular economy, and more). Today, over 12 years after the platform launch, Solved is successfully operating a global network of over 20,000 sustainability experts. I also developed a new hotel chain from scratch (concept, branding, interior), and worked on several organisational transformation projects.
